***COVID 19***
Dear clients,
Please understand that this is an unprecedented situation. I have never had any rules in place for a situation of this magnitude. The wedding and event industry especially is being devastated by the current events, and everyone from wedding vendors, to couples are dealing with the repercussions. First and foremost, my sincerest sympathies to ALL of you for having to navigate something this significant during your wedding planning period.
Yes, I am working with all of my couples that wish to postpone. Ultimately, we want to find you a new date where you can safely and happily have your dream wedding, even if it is a little later than originally planned. Please reach out to me if you are considering a postponement.
The most popular wedding day of the week is a Saturday. Please understand that there are only so many Saturdays in the year, with 24 being in what I consider "peak season". Therefore I have had to place some restrictions on available dates.
-We will make every effort to accommodate your new date. However if you prefer to cancel and not have your wedding, your payments are non-refundable.
-I am allowing monies paid towards cancelled weddings to be utilized instead for one portrait session. This includes a couple's session, family portraits, or senior portraits if you prefer not to reschedule your wedding, assuming the session occurs within 1 year of the original wedding date. You can also opt to use the money for a gift certfificate valuing 1 portrait session if you wish to give the session to a friend or relative as a gift.
-Postponements are not official, nor are new dates held until a postponement form has been signed. This simple form officially relieves me from responsibilities on your originally contracted date, and reserves your new date.
-I am currently only allowing 1 postponement due to COVID-19. Additional postponements may incur a rebooking fee, and any difference in service pricing from the original booking date.
Above all, don't panic. I had my busiest spring wedding season to date, and was able to work with every couple. A lot have already chosen new dates, and some are waiting to see how things play out before solidifying a new date. Either way, I'm here to help. This has been a new experience for everyone involved in your wedding. But don't give up! You worked so hard to find the perfect location, book your favorite DJ, choose your bouquet flowers and decor, and select the photographer that will capture it all. Hang in there and if we all work together, we will get through this!
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you have. Communication is KEY. Even if you just want to vent, or find out what has been happening in the wedding industry thus far. I'm happy to tell you my experiences, or just complain about how sucky this whole thing is.
Stay safe out there!
-Jennifer
